Today is Princess Ann Buehl's birthday. 13 years ago today she came home with us. We do not know the date of her real birthday because, you might not believe this, but Princess is adopted. And so is Newbie. We celebrate their birthdays on the date they came to live with us. In Princess's case, we had lost our son of 19 years, Garfield, a very nice cat on St. Patrick Day. He passed peacefully in his sleep. We wanted to get another as soon as we could, but there was a shortage of candidates. Finally one night of weeks of stopping at a pet store on our way to Friday Night Fish, we were told they just received a litter and we could have first pick! The next day I was able to pick Princess up and bring her home, 13 years ago today. She has been real good. So, Happy Birthday Princess! You are my Picture-Of-The-Day!
