MORNING AT MOORE by markp

MORNING AT MOORE

Well I was very pleasantly surprised on Monday evening at the Camera Club. It was the first Print Competition of this season, the season runs from Sept. through to May. We get an external judge in to look at the images to prevent any bias. I entered 15 prints across 5 categories and was thrilled at how well liked they appeared to be. I managed to achieve...

Two Firsts,
Two Seconds,
One Third place,
One Very Highly Commended,
Two Highly Commended,
and
One Commended.

I had been volunteered by the committee to pass the prints to the judge, and it felt a bit embarrassing to be stood up in front of everybody, as my name was called out so many times after the judge had made his choices.

This was taken almost exactly 12 months ago, and amazed me to win the Mono Category.

Wow this is a great monochrome - Fav I'm not surprised you did so well as your photos are really great. The judges down here don't seem to appreciate wildlife photography so when I do something different, I do seem to do better but the standard in our club is extremely high

Well done, Mark. Really like this monotone - both the composition and the focus.
