A BIT OF BOKEH - ONE

This Blackbird from the garden appeared to prefer hanging his wings down from his body rather than the normal posture, but he seemed to be quite healthy and fit.

Beautifully sharp. Was there a cat about? They sometimes feign injury to protect their mate/brood.

@quicksilver Thanks Robin, no as far as could see from where I was, there wasn't a cat around. He flew onto a perch to the right of this shot at first, with his wings down. Then onto this one where he stayed awhile, having a good look around, then flew to the stump at the bottom left which I use for putting food on. He had a good feed, still with his wings down, and finally flew off. There were several other Blackbirds and numerous other birds all behaving normally.

The other thing is when they do that distraction display, they are often very noisy calling out an alarm call, he was quiet while he was there. Maybe he just wanted to be different.
