I was following this tiny guy around and had backed the lens back already when he flew in even closer. I think if he had come any closer I would have been unable to focus.
I suspected there was more than one Goldcrest in the garden, and just before this shot I spotted two of them sitting side by side on a little branch right at the back of a very dark bush. However, they then moved off to the left, and then another one appeared from the right. So I am now thinking there must be at least three different ones.
