You're being a bit harsh; your photo shows their fancy side; they are good-looking birds :) Very nice background to go with the bird. was that the actual background or did you add that in?

@mjalkotzy Thank you Martin, no it was natural. Tall leafless poplar trees against a bright blue sky, but quite a way behind the pigeon.

I'm not so keen on these pigeons but have to admit that they photograph very well due to their irridescent colouring. This one does seem a bit discombobulated.
