MRS CHAFFINCH by markp

MRS CHAFFINCH

Not as bright and colourful as her partner, this female Chaffinch is still an attractive looking bird.
Lovely.

@jan20 @elisasaeter @nicholas @merteskid @thresheg @gilbertwood @pippie Thank you all very much for visiting and leaving such wonderful comments and Favs.

@gamelee Thank you Lee, this Chaffinch and the other two shots that I posted for the 16th were taken around your Mersey Way shot.

@markp I parked near the Runcorn-Widnes Bridge and went to the Hale Lighthouse for photos. I must go again at some point and be more observant.

@gamelee At the other end of the reserve from your shot, towards Hale there is a bird hide and feeding station, hidden in the trees, the birds are very tame. If you look out through the hide window, you might see the others I mentioned, but it is horrible to photograph from as for a lot of the day you are looking out into the sun. Certainly not the best sited hide I have seen.
