BUZZING BY THE BERBERIS

Another in-flight Bee, away from the Borage this time. Not happy I have lost the wing in the dark shadow, must try harder.
I think it is a species of Cuckoo Bee. They lay their eggs in Bumble Bee nests and let them rear as their own.
I don't like the idea of a cuckoo bee - there are quite a lot of 'em around - cuckoo types! One in NZ with birds, lays its eggs in the nest then when they hatch these young throw the originals out of the nest! However I just see a well shot bee here - no immediate threat!
