Now here's a new one. This is a Willow Tit (Parus montanus ), it can be mixed up with the rarer but very similar looking Marsh Tit, the different calls being the easiest way to split them. It can also be mistaken at first glance, with the much commoner Coal Tit. As they flit back and to, the quickest and easiest way is to look for the white flash on the back of the head and neck of the Coal Tit. As you can see this is missing in a Willow Tit.
