Another awesome duck - wherever do you find all these?

@cottiac Thank you very much, these three images and the three from today, (Thursday), are from the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT), Martin Mere Reserve nr Southport, Lancashire.

These two ducks are captive, the Hooded Merganser is from North America, and the Ruddy Shelduck is from south eastern Europe and parts of Asia. But it is not just the captive birds I go for there, it is a very large reserve which in the winter attracts thousands and thousands of wild swans and geese. There are also all kinds of wild wild life and birds to photograph. The Snipe and today's wader, goose and Robin are wild and free there.

It is a sister reserve to the one at WWT Slimbridge which can't be that far away from you. I haven't been there for a few years now, but sure it is well worth a visit.

Thank you Mark - you know, you're really tempting me to visit Slimbridge now! I have a friend who goes there and reports how theraputic it is.
