Although these are rather distant, I quite liked what this shows. The larger darker bird on the left is an Arctic Skua, a ferocious aerial hunter. It is a Pirate of the Skies, it chases and harries Terns and Gulls, harassing them into dropping what ever food they are carrying. However this one got it wrong, and the white bird, a much smaller and lighter Arctic Tern, began to chase and pester the Skua, quite interesting to watch.
@photohoot Thanks Wendy, Haha, I am not sure you would have been. True it was a lovely hot sunny day, beautiful clear blue/green seas, lovely blue skies, fantastic scenery of the island, a big long sandy beach and loads of sea birds and seals all around. Sounds like paradise ?
Well nearly, I took this from the stranded ferry as I waited for the tide to come back in and re-float us. So maybe not.
