I can read Quido's thoughts with his fur-toed brow and frown. He's thinkin' 'bout a BIG MAN and his hat! Not gonna let that varmint on his head get him down! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7sPvWrL6KY
"Daniel Boone was a man. Yes a big man.
With an eye like an eagle and as tall as a mountain was he.
Daniel Boone was a man. Yes a big man.
He was brave, he was fearless and as tough as a mighty oak tree.
From the "SQUIRRELSKIN" cap on the top of ol' Dan to the heel of his rawhide shoe
The rippin'est roarin'est fightin'est man the frontier ever knew.
Daniel Boone was a man. Yes a big man.
And he fought for America to make all Americans free.
What a Boone. What a doer. What a dream comer truer was he."

Truth told, I am a mediocre photographer at... learn more
Quido looked malicious in the other shot. Now he just looks grumpy that the squirrel thinks it is ok to stand on his head like that. Love the lyrics and this is a great capture!
@rmkk LOL! They were quite destructive today. I wanted to skin them! I'm sure Quido did, too. Thank you for your comments, Marlene! Always grateful to have them!
@mummarazzii LOL! Yes, the varmints were quite destructive today. Thank you for the comments and visit, Lisa! Always appreciated!
@camisze Ha ha! The varmints were quite destructive today. They are too overpopulated again! Thank you for your comments and the visit, Cathy! Always appreciated!
I love it when everyone puts great quotes or songs to their photos...it is so rare that I can think of a good title, let alone all that other stuff. This is really clever. does that squirrel have something in his hands?
Haha, poor Quido, the long-suffering gargoyle. 8D Cool shot, this one! Mr Squirrel is cute. I like seeing squirrels on 365. They all look cute and well-fed and sometimes very bold. The local squirrels here are different because they are mostly skinny and dark and hyper-quick and never stop long enough for anyone to get a good shot of. Sorry for rambling! 8)
@copperheadglass LOL! Quido is crumbling. It may be too late. He's lost his right hip and left foot. Ack! Thank you for your kind comments, Meredith! Always appreciated!
@myautofocuslife Ramble all you like, Livia! I love it! Thank you for your lovely comments and visit! Always grateful to have them!
@marlboromaam oooh Maggie I'm a city guy.......not a country guy.... skinning a squirrel.... !!!!! I won't ask how you do that ........can't you shoo (that means scare em' in the UK) them away !!!! Eeeek !
@phil_howcroft LOL! They won't shoo away. They come back to do their destructive dirty deeds. Their population needs to be controlled like the deer around here. Just hoping lot's of hawks will migrate to the area and have their fill before I have to take drastic measures. They have chewed up every bluebird house I own and now the bluebirds won't nest in them. They have chewed up another humming bird feeder and they have destroyed my little crop of asparagus. What will they do next? Everyone thinks they are so cute but they really are rats with long furry tails and do lots of damage to property and plants that add up to lots of money in replacements or repairs. They will even chew on houses to get in under the eaves through the roof. Five or six around is not bad but, 30 or 40 is way too many!
You really capture a nice shot. Squirrels look lovely, but they can do a lot of damage in the garden. I had lots of problems last year when it was mango season.
@maggiemae They certainly aren't on the endangered species list around here, Maggiemae. LOL! There isn't a whole lot I can do to get ride of them without hurting my birds, except shoot them and I will probably have to! A cat or dog will run the squirrels off as well as the birds, so that's not an option. Just hoping some big hawks will move into the area and have a field day with some fresh squirrel meat! Thank you for your kind comments! Appreciate your visit, as always!
Quido doesn't seem to mind our furry friend on his head at all. Must have more important thoughts on his mind. Mr. Squirel seems to be saying "Bring it on!"
Man, I wish Daniel Boone was around to see what in the hell is going on with the US of A...he'd think it was downright squirrelly. And, BTW - cool catch of a macho squirrel! (oxymoron??)
@coastandcactus He would be angry, hurt, deeply disappointed and ashamed of what we've become, Cissy. I may have to take some drastic measures with these squirrels. There are way too many of them around here. BTW, you just might enjoy these lyrics... Let's help 'em pack! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2G3wGVAnlQ
