Let there be light... by marlboromaam

Let there be light...

and there's lots of sun light today! Took this about mid day. My poor old fence has seen better days. Need to get back there behind it next to the woods and cut down limbs and seedlings around it and up next to it... but never this time of year... Snakes - the poisonous kind! Copperheads and rattlers! Not nice and NO, I don't want to hunt for any to get a pic of them! I have to constantly watch where I step around here anyhow! Know what it's like to always keep a hoe handy?
I can feel the sunlight in your photo and the textures in the fence work beautifully in BW. But crikey, I'm glad I don't have to be on the watch for snakes like yours!

@janturnbull Thank you, Janet! Appreciate your kind remarks! LOL! Yes, be very glad! But, it's a habit to watch out for them and carry a hoe around in the weeds and undergrowth.

Beautiful light and love the textures in the fence. I don't blame you for not wanting to photograph a snake in the wild! We had brown snakes on the property I grew up on and I remember my uncle chasing one around the house with a shot gun!

@rah2012 Thank you, Lara! Appreciate your comments! Yikes! I would not want to have to chase any snakes around my house! LOL!

Great textures and light! I don't like snakes, especially the poisonous ones. Perhaps you can work on your fence after the snakes go into hibernation.

@daisy Appreciate every word you wrote, Kathryn! Thank you! Oh, I won't get back there until cold weather sets in, if I'm still here.
