New growth... by marlboromaam

New growth...

With the little bit of rain we've had lately, my wild wisteria has sprouted lots of new growth and a few late blossoms. It will grow very fast with a little water.

Got the front yard mowed yesterday. Took me nearly all day in the heat and humidity. It's about the size of three of my backyards. I was exhausted and fried when I finished. Thus, I am behind again here. Will catch up on your pics as quick as I can!
Beautiful light

Great to know there is yet life among the vegetation, and even that someone, somewhere, had enough rain that the yard had to be mown!

My daughter and her family recently move up north from North Carolina. I loved the Wisteria. But I don't think it can survive the cold winters of the north!!

@dauber I'm sorry, RL! I really hope you guys get some rain soon. Wishing you showers without the storms! FYI, I hadn't mowed in more than a month. Was a little overdue.

@skipt07 I don't know, Skip. I know a hybrid variety it will grow in Oregon and Washington states. Not sure about other northern states.

We haven't mown in 2 months and the only spots that could be cut now would be where I have watered trees or bushes! The grass is crispy.

@dauber I know what you mean. Before we got a little rain, walking on the grass was like stepping on potato chips - crunch, crunch! I sure hope you get some rain soon!
