I never thought but if the grass was pale and had lots of light on it, it would appear white if it was B&W! This is what I think is especially good in this photo!
@maggiemae Thank you, Maggiemae! It is much easier to see the contrast when you shoot in black and white mode vs. color, so you know what you're getting instead of guessing what it might look like converted.
Actually I think this is one of the best b & w shots you have done. I must be weird or something. But I love the contrast between the tall grasses and the darkness of the trees in the background. Also as I see it the composition is great with the branch at the top left and the grass highlighting the whole scene. It looks like you had to lie flat on the ground to get this shot. I love it and giving it a fav.
@yonnie We were not allowed to shoot color in my college photog classes until we had completed three other classes in black and white. There may be a reason for the madness! LOL!
@cimes1 Thank you so very much for your kind and lovely comments, Carole! It is a high contrasty kind of shot. Maybe that's just a style of black and white you like? Really appreciate your fav, gal! So sweet of you! The grass is pampus grass, so I didn't have to lie down. I just stooped a little to get the best angle on the trees in the background.
@pawar_ramesh Thank you so much, Ramesh! Appreciate your comments!
