It could have taken down my power line, but it didn't! =) Ice storms aren't frequent here, but I've seen my share and know what damage the weight of ice can do to trees, limbs, and power lines.
Yes, they are scary. I was once in Atlanta with the high school debate team when an ice storm hit. Try keeping a bunch of teenagers from Florida off the ice!
@ljmanning Thank you, Laura! I'd say we get more thunderstorms than anything else. A few tornados that spawn from the thunderstorms and/or the hurricanes during the season.
