My wild rose vine is an escapee from someone's garden a hundred or more years ago. This rose is documented growing wild in the Carolinas and Georgia. It lines the ditches and climbs trees, and I am so very glad the county mowers didn't get it before it bloomed. Commonly known as Memorial Rose, Dorothy Perkins Rose, and Lucie Rose. It is non-native from East Asia. More info here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=1264
