Bluebirds are territorial. I've had four (4) mating pairs checking out the six (6) bluebird houses scattered around my little 2.5 acres. Course the squirrels have trashed all of them, but one isn't too bad. I have a mating pair nesting for the second time in the "not too bad" house. There's a mating pair nesting in the purple martin house because the female didn't like the looks of the other five (5) tree-rat-chewed houses... and these males, with their females near by, were in a real estate WAR over a house that neither female would have anything do with once the battle was fought! Hope these other two (2) pair will find some place to nest and raise their baby blues!
Not a good composition and the focus is not as crisp as I'd like, but it will have to do!
