A homage to the 60 Watt incandescent light bulb. It is prohibited to produce these bulbs in The Netherlands from now on. From September 2012 all incandescents will be banned to reduce energy waste. Hope the led light will become a bit more homy in the meantime.

@zonnestraaltje@pyrrhula@tjramutkowski Haha. No it's not a secret. We are here to share and learn so who am I to keep the mystery alive? However it could be a bit disappointing learning how simple it really was :-) The bulb was taped to the ground and the camera placed on a tripod. I took 2 shot with the help of my son Kester because for the lit-shot I had to connect the light bulb with to loose wires and a steady hand (don't try this at home :-). Both images were placed on top of each other in Photoshop, the lit one on top. A simple transparency 'lighten' filter copied only the bright parts onto the much lighter background. Some small corrections finished the job.
That's a really great photo ... don't worry, they banned those type of bulbs in UK a couple of years ago but no-one took any notice and you can still buy them all over!!
