CW My get pushed challenge this week was to work with leading lines. Here is my latest attempt, with a little reflection and frame thrown in for fun.

I am finding it challenging to photograph with a specific goal in mind ~ so far I have tended to find my shots by happy accident rather than by design. I like the challenge - get pushed is fun - but I for sure need to keep practicing before I will be able to envision certain shots.

Having said that, this one is half accident and half intended. I have been wandering around these past few days with the lead line concept top of mind, so when I saw the strong lines in the bricks I thought I'd see if there was a shot to be found there. Turns out it is the shadows of the boots in the window that do the task of leading the eye to the guy in the window.

I am wondering if I should have deepened the DOF a bit so that the boots would be more recognizable...

I posted a second photo in this series, which I also like. But the lines weren't nearly as prominent, so I made it the outtake:

I love your city life shots. I live in the suburbs and visit our lakehouse in the "country." The city life is wonderful to see. Following

@espyetta Thanks Mary Beth! I am pushing myself to get out there on the streets and take photos. I feel pretty shy about taking pictures of strangers, so this is my work-around. :) Thanks for the follow, by the way!
