Lyveden New Bield by mave

Lyveden New Bield

We are at Stretton Lakes with friends who live in Corby. They found Lyveden New Bield - a National Trust property - which is near Oundle. Sir Thomas Tresham planned it as a pleasure garden and place of worship between 1595 and his death in 1605. With orchards, moats and a viewing mound. Tea room with lovely cream teas. Well worth a visit.
Impressive looking building and a great capture. Interesting information, too, Mave.
