No apologies for a collage today. Only apologies for no pictures of flying aircraft. They are very difficult to take on a phone and we have no computer with us to download pictures from our cameras.
It has been a very enjoyable day with great weather, good organisation and good trade and food stalls. There was a very large model Vulcan flying - brilliant! There was the Memorial Flight of the Lancaster, Spitfire and Mosquito. They all displayed, as did pairs of aircraft afterwards. The last display was a Spitfire flown by Squadron Leader Millican (spelling?). He had been CO for three years and was leaving so the Chairman of Lincolnshire Lancaster Association made a presentation.
And these are still in such a good condition... i've seen em years ago on an airshow in the Netherlands... Lancaster (spirit of Lincoln, i think) and a Spitfire and a Hurricane...
Fabulous collage, takes me back to our RAF days. The Vulcan and the Lancaster are my two all time favourite aircraft and they take me back to Scampton in the 1960s.
