Sundog by mave

Sundog

Today we went to St Neots on the bus and walked back across the Common. But it was drizzling so I didn't get any decent pictures. This was taken on our walk yesterday at the nature reserve just as the sun got up and it was frosty. It isn't a rainbow although it has the colours. It is caused by ice crystals in the air and usually appears at the side - or both sides - of the sun and a short distance away. We hadn't seen one before so had to look it up.
How wonderful and beautiful - I have not heard of sundog ! Love this and the silhouette of the trees - fav

@happypat Thank you Pat. For the last three years I have been doing 1k miles a year and have lost weight. We both put on weight over Christmas, so are trying to walk it off together.
