A shorter walk today by mave

A shorter walk today

It was cold but dry and a lovely sunny morning today. We went to Hobbycraft in Bedford, so we decided to have our walk in Priory Country Park. After our long day, and walking over 7 miles yesterday, we needed a short walk so that we didn't get too stiff. This is a picture of the Marina close to the park. I love to see the narrowboats. I have lots more pictures from London and of the lights at Canary Wharf. I will post some later.
Very good details captured. I think the tree on the right is a bit intrusive. Could you have zoomed in a bit or crop the tree out and the top if you want to maintain similar proportions. I believe you will end up with a very strong image especially with that Kodak red against the blue water.

@followthatdreamphotography Thank you for your very helpful comments Michael. I can see what you mean and could have cropped closer. I do tend to use trees and branches as a frame for sone of my shots, but they don't always work.

@happypat Thanks for commenting Pat. Yes, we tend to walk together even though I am a slower walker. Den does an extra short walk alone if he feels the need for more exercise.

@wendyfrost @beryl Thanks so much for commenting, and for the fav Wendy. I love to see narrowboats all nestled up together. And I believe they hire them out here.

@mave Mave, there is certainly nothing wrong with using trees as frames to push the eye into the main body of the photo but it is better for them to be an integral part of the scene as opposed to what could be perceived as a compositional error where they sneak in. Try to avoid what I call "random branches" appearing at the top of photos where it looks like they are just hanging out of the sky.
