End of the Line

Still catching up on uploading my May pictures, including this shot from a trip to New York. The picture pretty much is what it looks like. The bravest thing I did my whole vacation was to stand in front of all these people at the front of the train platform. New Yorkers are tough, but 365'ers are tougher.
You were brave! :)

Great shot - I love it that most of the people aren't looking at you apart from the one woman in the front and the eyes of the girl near the bottom.

You are much braver than me.

@gardenfolk More likely foolish. I held the camera up high and kept an eye out for anyone rushing towards me.

@photobird Those two were probably the only tourists.

@louannwarren Just telling the truth, Catwoman. (BTW - Sad news about Adam West, today.)

@carole_sandford It was a commuter train arriving at Grand Central Station. They were ALL in a hurry.

@joysabin Thanks. They're New Yorkers or near New Yorkers. So they have interesting face. There is an experimental film that I believe is called something like Necromania, which one can't tell exactly how it is shot. But it is just a single long shot of people, two or three abreast, descending, entering frame and leaving frame to be replaced by others in an unending stream. I believe the filmmaker just filmed a closeup portion of a down escalator at rush hour. But in his video they all had totally blank expressions. It was cool for a while but got a little boring.

@danette I'm sure not. Just more foolhardy. My technique was to just hold the camera up high so I could keep an eye out for anyone rushing towards me.
