L.A. GOON

With the fog rolling in off the Pacific Ocean, this Los Angele lagoon at low tide began to take on an eerie look. Unseen in this photo on the left is a drainage pipe outlet. While we might think of it as contamination or runoff, at best. But the flock of birds from several species lines up in the center of the photo, definitely consider it dinner.
I'm glad to know what is attracting them to the dinner table! Do like the atmosphere that fog is bringing with it.

@milaniet It's nice for a change of pace. This lagoon is one block from the ocean so they get this rolling fog fairly frequently. But I live on the other side of the Santa Monica Mountains, fifty minutes from here. So we don't get this sort of fog very often. And usually when it does come, only in the mornings. This was in the afternoon and it was sunny a half a mile from here and even along the shore further north.
