This is the same boat I took a couple of days ago tied up to the dock in the fog. I didn't realize at the time that it is a Coast Guard ice breaker. I watched it barreling up and down the CT river breaking up the ice, opening up channels for ships. It was moving amazingly fast making tremendous noise as it smashed the ice in its path.

He's the guy you need to follow if you're a smaller boat (at a respectable distance, of course) - kind of like following the snow plow machine on the highway (have done that more than once.)
