You have caught his eye well with that sparkle and the orange ring around! He doesn't have a long neck like the herons so must get another type of food?
What a superb capture of this Killdeer!!! I love these little guys on their skinny legs and how they fake a broken wing to draw you away from their nests or babies!! They have such big bright eyes that you can't help but smile when you see them!! Perfect details and lighting!! FAV!
Love this against the black - your lighting and clarity are terrific. Think these little killdeer are so cute to watch - but they sure can scurry fast! Glad (but not really) to know I'm not the only one noticing the definite decline in the butterflies this summer. Most worrisome!
