Kansas State campus

Another, very different landscape -- continuing the get pushed challenge that @denidouble gave me. Taken a couple of days ago on campus as I walked back to my car down a wonderful shaded walk. Looking across to Anderson Hall, the main administration building. I tried cropping it, but ended up preferring it the way it is, though not very excited by it. Constructive criticism would be very appreciated.

Ha! And a few minutes after I posted this I looked at it and decided I could at least crop out one little bit of foliage sticking out awkwardly into the sky on the left. So I took it into picmonkey. Now I think I should have done THAT differently because cropping that took away some of the tree on the far left and now that bit looks worse than before. Later I may fiddle with it back over on the Mac in PS Elements and post a revised version in the other album. It probably needs various other things too. But right now I should be doing other things. Again, any helpful criticism would be appreciated.
My first impulse was to crop it in from the left - using the trees to frame the building with the tower. However this would mean losing the nice curve of the path, so I can see where you are coming from. My only other suggestion is that the picture looks slightly off-horizontal to me and could be straightened a little - though not sure if that is just an optical illusion due to the strong horizontal elements crossing the image at different angles.

I just read through the get pushed instructions again and realized that @denidouble wouldn't get a notification that I'd posted another for her challenge unless I tagged her in a separate comment. I'm not excited by this shot, but I think you'd consider it a landscape, wouldn't you? More greenery than building...?

@philr Thanks for your suggestions. You've been so great to take the time and give me feedback. So much appreciated. When I have time I may either fiddle with this some more, or take another shot with the composition and framing more firmly in mind. I did, at least, make sure Anderson Hall (or at least the tower) was not covered by the trees.

I like the soft tones - greens & blue-greys - against that pale gleam of sky - it's such a lovely scene that I would actually want more of it rather than to crop it - were you able to step back any further?

@kittikat Thanks. I might have been able to get further back. I wasn't thinking of that -- just stayed right on the walkway. To be honest, outside it is sometimes hard for me to see what I'm getting very precisely, unless I'm in the shade. I may try to shoot this scene again. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
