Cats cast by mcsiegle

Cats cast

Just a snapshot taken during the photo session after the Sunday "Cats" performance. They were being photographed by another person to document the show. I took some very grainy (very high ISO because it was dark) shots for my own. This is the cast with Penny, the director (the only one not in a cat costume -- in blue shirt center.) I wish the one kitten wasn't partially cut off on the right, but I had to take the photo fast as they were moving on to do another photo.
You must be having a great time! That's one of my favorite shows.

@sophiaz I am having a wonderful time, Sophia. My husband is in the cast - second row, far right, playing Gus the Theatre Cat. He's been in a number of shows here, but this is the first in a long time I've helped with (backstage). It feels good to be involved with a show together. I met him doing summer theatre way, way back in the summer of '71.

That is a nice shot Mary and glad you are enjoying it.

@pjr Thanks, Pete. It's a wonderful cast. I wish I could see the show from out front, but I am enjoying working backstage.

@mcsiegle I help out every year backstage with a dancing show that my daughters help run. I have done it for many years and you do see it differently to the audience from the wings.

@pjr I wish I was "in the wings" but this theatre is laid out with audience on risers on three sides and just a curtain between the hallway backstage and the stage area of the floor. That's the upstage right entrance. Upstage left entrance is the same, off of the shop (which is full of the orchestra for this show.) So I can't really peek. When I'm not running props out to the lobby area where the other two entrances, right and left, are found, I'm in the greenroom with listening to the show over the intercom - with or without headphones on. Keeping an eye on the seven Kittens (kids) in the show, and unzipping anyone who asks for help with costume change from one character to another! (smile)

Your daughters' dance show sounds fun! I'm envious of the skill of the dancers in this Cats production -- wishing I had dance lessons when I was younger.

@mcsiegle Oh I see the difference now Mary.Yes I can sympathise as you can here what's going on but it is not the same as seeing it. And costume changes can be very time consuming
