Having a little fun playing around with "patchwork" collage using a photo I took today of two different kinds of tree branches. One kind hanging down and the other kind standing much straighter across the street on campus.
The real excitement, though, is not up here at the computer, but downstairs charging its battery for the first time.
I have a camera again!
I may, from time to time, use the iPod or the cell phone cameras, but I will no longer have to. Still can't afford a DSLR, or lens changing capacity, but the Nikon Coolpix S9900 will give me a lot more control than my old one that died. In addition to auto and all kinds of specific scene modes for everything under the sun, it has aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual, yay! So I can learn how to do it myself. Its zoom capacity is also way greater than the 4x optical zoom on my old one. Zooming in all the way on that Sony Cybershot basically took me to about what my eyes see in terms of nearness, as opposed to the wider default that gives you more of your normal peripheral vision. I can't wait to try it out on a squirrel. Yee haw!
And it was delivered before Christmas -- extra exciting!
coolpix is one of the best around! this is quite an intriguing collage. great work. merry Christmas, Mary, and all the best for the holidays and the coming year!
I love this collage! And the new camera is really exciting. Congratulations! I'm your get pushed partner this week. I'll get back to you with a challenge soon.
Hi again! Your album is wonderful. You are so imaginative! For this week, I challenge you to create an image that shows a wish or goal for the new year. If the dinosaurs can help, that would be great!
Congratulations on the new camera. Have a lovely Christmas
