The meeting of walls by mcsiegle

The meeting of walls

A few days ago we finally got some snow. Not a lot, but enough to put a white coating on things. I love the way the stone wall out back looks with the snow on it. In ribbet.com I applied a cross processing effect and decided I liked it. For some reason, it reminds me of the color quality in some Andrew Wyeth paintings.

The other photo I've posted of a closer detail of the wall, is left in the natural color.

Can I get your opinions on the cross processing?
Love the chumminess of this.

I'm afraid I prefer the detail shot, in the natural color, but this one is interesting as well.

Nice textures and lighting...

Great contrast of textures. I'm intrigued by the stone, third down near the centre of the shot. Its point is facing outwards and it looks like a tortoise's head peering out!
