The female half of the Triceratops Twins and I had some "girl time" together this afternoon.Being the only girl in among all those boys and men, sometimes she just needs this time with me.
We had a great time. The weather was wonderful, so we went out on the back porch. First we played with scarves. I liked the leopard print, but she was most partial to the purple one with spirals and goddess figures on it. We experimented with different shades of nail polish too. When this shot was taken she was trying to choose which color to use. She finally decided on one of the golden ones. After the nail polish dried, we had our refreshments -- cookies, crackers with cheese, and a bit of chocolate, of course.
@cornishsnapper I'm glad the light appealed to you. At first it was coming in very bright and harsh from the west. Triceratops came up with the good idea of using one of the scarves to filter it. So I went inside and got the package sealing tape and taped one up over the screened window. MUCH better.
@homeschoolmom Oh boy! No girl pets even? We have had two sets of male cats. The second pair has now aged and died, but I'm still stuck sharing a bathroom with one or two men (depending on whether our one and only son is visiting). IN MY NEXT LIFE I want to live with women only! At least Neither of us (I hope) has had the experience of my grandmother on my dad's side. She grew up with six brothers. Then she married my granddad and had seven sons and no daughters. I think she was over the moon when her first three grandchildren were girls (my cousin Patty, then me, and then my younger sister)
@bette@denidouble Well.... I'm so sorry, but Frank made her clean it off after we were done. He wasn't too pleased about that aspect of our girls afternoon out (out on the back porch, anyway). I CAN offer you, instead, a photo of the Triceratops Twin brother with sparkly nails left over from their rainbox making session a year ago. I've posted it here http://365project.org/mcsiegle/alternates/2016-04-06
