Monarch Brand is what the box says on the sides. Strangely, all of the thread in the box is beautiful silk thread. Evidently the box was being reused to house other thread when all of the dark ruby cotton that was originally in the box was all used up. The little miniature bale of cotton is something that my Uncle Don was given -- I think by some business having to do with cotton -- growing, shipping, warehousing, processing -- I don't remember what.
