It was a beautiful day today, and I have the whole week off, as the University is closed during the holiday break. So I drove out to the land that used to belong to my dad and uncle, and was farmed by their father and before that by their grandfather. I walked from northwest gate and over the pastureland down to the stone barn and house -- the ruins left of them. Along the way I took pictures of the landscape and of trees for the get pushed challenge given me. (I'll sort through those and post later.) I stayed out there so long the sun was starting to sink by the time I headed back to my car. So I figured I would stay a bit longer and wait for the sunset.
Very nice silhouettes against the gentle colours of the sky. I'm wondering that if you moved the camera up a little bit to show more sky and less dark foreground it might make a better image. Rule of thirds notwithstanding.
@cornishsnapper Yes, I think you're right. Might go out again sometime soon just for the sunset hour. I'll look through the others I took and see which others are better in that respect. I chose this one because I liked the presence of fence post and the way the grass turned out.
