My get pushed partner, April @aecasey noticed that in one of my photos I was lamenting the fuzziness of the trees on the horizon at dusk. I had originally wanted a better silhouette. So she challenged me to make a silhouette and clued me in to the fact that my camera has a 'sunset' mode. So I went out to what we call the "Kitty Corner" (an entrance to the land my dad and uncle used to own.) We call it the Kitty Corner for Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke, because one time when we were kids we were sitting in the car in that spot, listening to that program on the radio. It was a beautiful evening to be out there, if only to stand there and photograph the sunset. Other photos posted on the 28th and the 29th, and the 30th in my Alternates album. Two feature a tree and two (including this) some closer vegetation.
I like the simplicity of this one as well and the composition with the silhouette to the side. I think I would crop out the dark layer of clouds at the top though. The sunset has some beautiful color to it
for your get-pushed challenge.
have fun.
