Not Photography

You know when you’re going forward on the Google map street view and the phone (or in my case iPod) screen takes a second or two to catch up with the scrolling your finger is doing? This is the type of image you get while it’s thinking about resolving the next piece of the street. These are screen shots—not actual photography. I didn’t take the pictures of the street and surroundings — the mobile Google map unit did. But I was so captivated by the results (especially since my last week’s get pushed challenge was “abstract.”) I had to save some of them and put a representative sampling into a collage.
I really like the lines.

Who’s to say a screenshot is not a form of photography? I think they are marvelous and love seeing them in this collage
