Empty Hallway

For my get pushed challenge Kali @kali66 said “ how about some unreal colour this week for get-pushed, either lighting your subject with coloured light ( put a coloured scarf over a lamp perhaps) or changing the colours of your image in post processing, inverting, IR simulation, or using hue/saturation sliders...”
This is the hallway in Eisenhower Hall where I work on campus. The ceiling lights reflected in the floor. Photo inverted and further adjusted. A small spiral twist inserted in the middle.

The corridor is empty because, even though classes have started, there is not much going on in our classrooms in this building because of COVID constraints. All the classrooms along this first floor corridor were ruled ineligible for face-to-face classes this semester because of ventilation test results. One is being used once a week by a faculty member to do a class via Zoom. Just her in the room, no students present.

All my experimenting on this and the other shot I’m posting today were in post processing. If I have a chance, perhaps I’ll experiment with something done with lighting or in camera.
@kali66 Here’s where I work. Doesn’t usually look as weird, but it IS looking extremely empty and lonely.

That’s really cool, especially with the spiral.

Hi, you are my get pushed partner next week. For your challenge, how would you like to make a photo representing pop culture. It can be an abstract or whatever you would like. Okay?

@ingajohansson Looks like it, doesn’t it, Inga?

@kali66 I can almost hear that theme music.

@shutterbug49 Thanks! I thought the spiral fancied it up nicely. Glad you like it.
