Get Pushed 555

Sue gave me the challenge of backlighting. I am horrible with lighting in general and could use an intensive course in that (also could use a better assortment of lights and lamps—one strong little flashlight here and no time to try to find and set up alternatives.
@wakelys Sue, thanks for the challenge. I’m putting more experimenting with lighting on my to do list.

I love the lighting and shapes. It reminds me of kelp in an aquarium.

Ethereal capture.
We are partnered in the get pushed challenge this week. Your challenge is to use texture and/or pattern, perhaps in monotone for emphasis.

This is a comment that Ann H. LeFevre ( @olivetreeann) wrote on my photo the other day. " Back lighting is a broad term meaning the light is in the rear of the subject or coming from behind the subject. Rim lighting is when the light behind the subject only captures its outline." That made a bit clearer to me. Given that deinition, I think you met your challenge.

Well done Mary! I thought of kelp too. Your back-lighting is really beautiful.

@randystreat Thank you for that clarification. I think I would have an even harder time with rim lighting.
