Salem, MA

Posting photos a bit out of order, but taken on Friday the 13th during our visit to our friends, Laurie & John in Massachusetts. We visited several historical sites related to the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Not a high point in our history. This was taken at a memorial for one of the 20 people executed for witchcraft. I edited this photo for a B&W challenge on FB. Still deciding which I like better.
yikes... brings it home a bit. a pretty amazing tour i bet

I think the fact that the flowers are in colour and therefore recent - meaning that people remember now - makes this the image I prefer

@peggyhuffman it was very informative. Especially after reading that book I borrowed from you.

I haven't seen the other image but what @anniesue says makes sense. The photo makes my inner witch feel rather sick 🙁

Ok now I've seen the other and I accept your challenge! 😄 (Also think this one is definitely the more powerful image for @anniesue 's reason)

Oh my gosh, when will men (as in Humans) stop doing evil things to each other. Nice capture.
