Gertrude Ederle by megpicatilly

Gertrude Ederle

This weekend sees an abundance of wonderful flower festivals in our local churches. The theme for Appledore church was '90 Years Ago'. This one represented Gertrude Ederle who was the first woman to swim the English Channel in 1926 and achieved it in 14 hours, 31 minutes. It really is quite astonishing to see such beautiful arrangements by so many talented people.
Artistic shot, also lovely colours.
