Remainder

Some neighbors had trees cut down a few weeks ago and I wanted to get a shot of the stump.

Editing consisted of black and white effect in Photoscape. I didn't care for the b&w effect in picmonkey.

I'm not a fan of the B&W in picmonkey either - it makes things look washed out - but if you tweak the contrast in it and use one of the effects (like dusk, or urbane) then fade the effect a bit - you can get some pretty cool b&w's.

I agree with things looking washed out. I'll keep your tips in mind, although you're obviously much more adventurous in your processing, and patient than I. :)
