Picked up a light box set up today at a garage sale so I thought I would have a play around with one of the lights.
The more "high key" type photo was me just trying to get my positioning correct with the tripod and having the camera connected to my laptop. No flash or anything was used. The more "low key" type photo is using one of the lights from the box set up. As far as lighting goes, I actually like them both but have been wanting to do a more low key photo for a long time so I'm glad I can work on more. Now, if I can just work on the focus, as I was controlling everything in laptop via the Digicam Control program, I'm not sure what I did wrong as far as focus goes so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free.
Manual mode. 18-55 lens. Cropped the "high key" slightly in Ribbet and then created the collage via www.fotor.com which apparently stripped my EXIF info so:
High key-5.0, 3 second ISO 800
Thanks Brendan. I will work on that. I always feel as though finding a stand in will be hard because I'm so short.
