This is my first ever attempt at photographing the moon. I wasn't going to post it as I've seen so many better/clearer postings by fellow 365ers. But I wanted it here as a "diary entry" and I need to pack my case to go to Nice so no time to get the camera out. I really had no idea what I was doing. I did use a tripod but still had to press the button, and could not use the 2s delay, because I had selected manual focus. I then selected a fast shutter speed to minimise camera shake. It was too late to have many goes and very windy - more shakes - and cold. It's sooc appart from crop. I will try again!
I think it's brilliant for a first attempt. If you check out my first and second attempt you'll be very pleased with yourself ;o) I've been considering making another attempt now that I have a new camera though. Have a lovely time in Nice xx
It's a great shot! You've got the focus just right - see the western edge where the light plays nicely across the craters. Much better than I ever did with a compact camera!
@luxvivens@foolmoon@yumyum46@dannydavies Thank you for your encouraging comments. Just arrived home from Nice (French Riviera) and have taken a huge number of photos. Will post some when I have time to sort through them. Posibly another moon, but I didn't have a tripod...............!
