This was my view for the entire four hours it took us to get through Connecticut on our drive home from the Cape. Lots of brake lights and driving rain. Made for a very long trip home, and I was glad when it was over!
I hate the drive home from vacations - it's NEVER as fun as going to your vacation destination. And then on top of it you had this weather? Oh no... just peachy, huh. :)
@lauriehiggins Fortunately I was only there for the weekend. As much as I love certain things about the Cape, and as much as it doesn't feel like summer without them, the traffic makes me positively batty. Heading off on Sunday took an hour, and even just getting to my grandparents' house, which is normally a less-than-10-minute drive took a good 20. Although I shouldn't complain too loudly... tourism is what keeps the Cape going.
