Lake Eyre

Day 10 William Creek to Coober Pedy
We finally have some reliable internet, so I hope to catch up a bit. This morning we did a 2 hour flight over Lake Eyre. It was an amazing sight to see so much water in the middle of Australia. The lake is the lowest point I the continent. Water drains into the lake from a drainage basin that covers 1.3 square kilometres. As the water evaporates in the hot the desert sun, it becomes saltier and saltier, leaving a thick salt crust that can be up to half a metre thick.

My instincts are that you need to crop some of the bottom off to keep this image to thirds. If it had been a very minimal image it might have worked as 50/50. The important bit of the picture is the sky-scape not the reflection. I hope you don't mind the critique?
