Not What I Was Planning_DSC1468

This morning, I noticed that my lovely rosebud was opening beautifully. I went out this afternoon to photograph it, before picking it only to discover that some rotten sod had gone into my garden and pinched it.
The weather was too miserable to be out and about with my camera, so this is it for today.
How rude some people are. My garden is out of bounds thanks to the very vigilant watch sausage dogs :)

I had the same thing happen some time ago with a solitary daffodil in my front garden. It's hardly fair but perhaps it was the only one in the street and the temptation became too much. I'll try and find one for you to look at if you like.

@alex_g Thanks Alex, the silly thing is that they broke it off just below the flower, but it it had quite a long stem.

In my yard that would be the work of a deer. I think knowing a human did it would be even worse.

That is so annoying!

So sorry for you. Please think an animal have done it. Could be possible isn`t it.

Oh the rotters

How very rude. People just don't seem to care about taking things that belong to others.

@pyrrhula It would be better to think that it could have been an animal, but no, it isn't possible.

That's terrible, Merrelyn! I just can't believe someone would have the nerve to go into your garden and take your rosebud! So sorry that happened. :-(

May be nice to think it was the strong winds WA has been getting. Hope the weather and roses improve soon.
