Roman Bridge, Merida _DSC4761

This beautiful bridge over the Guadiana River was probably built in 25BC, which coincides with the foundation of Merida. It is 792 metres long and has 60 arches. It is the longest bridge in Spain, dating back to this time.
There are so many amazing Roman ruins in Merida, including a beautiful theatre, dating from 16 to 15 BC. Near this is an amphitheatre dating back to 8BC.
