My grandfather, father and brother were all crayfishermen, so I love this sculpture at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. We had lunch in a seafood restaurant overlooking the sculpture and the harbour. I was pleased to see a seagull hiding in the background (something wild for 30dayswild) .
Before lunch we met fellow 365er @Narayani at a gallery in Fremantle. Narayani has some of her work on display and was manning the exhibition. It was lovely to finally catch up.
I love this statue, I didn't see this when we were in Fremantle. I particularly like the fact that there are fishing boats in the background and, of coiurse, that seagull!
What a great sculpture. I can't wait to visit Fremantle. My nephew and his partner lived there until recently but they have just bought a property at Bedfordale. Maybe we will manage to get there next year.
@gilbertwood I certainly do Denise. Graham and our son have amateur liscences. They put their pots out for a few weeks before Christmas and usually do quite well.
(For farmers flowers are just an other kind of crop.)
