After four glorious nights camping at Wooramel Station we're now caravan park in Carnarvon for the night. One of our travelling companions called for me to come and look at some birds she'd seen. I was staggered to see dozens of rainbow bee eaters flitting around a nearby tree. I've only ever seen them alone or in pairs so I dashed back my camera.
I love the golden light on them, but I hope to be able to get more shots tomorrow to show their beautiful colours.
I was hoping to be able to catch up on everyone's photos while we're here but the internet is woefully slow. It took over 30 minutes to upload 4 photos.
yes, they move in flocks, I usually have dozens at a time, they look spectacular and their sounds are so pretty as they warn of dangers while they hunt
you were called to look at the birds and you didn't bring the camera? horrors! 😂 i particularly like those thin whatever coming from their tails. lovely shot and the golden colour adds to it. aces!
