One For The Bucket List P6250328

After four glorious nights camping at Wooramel Station we're now caravan park in Carnarvon for the night. One of our travelling companions called for me to come and look at some birds she'd seen. I was staggered to see dozens of rainbow bee eaters flitting around a nearby tree. I've only ever seen them alone or in pairs so I dashed back my camera.
I love the golden light on them, but I hope to be able to get more shots tomorrow to show their beautiful colours.
I was hoping to be able to catch up on everyone's photos while we're here but the internet is woefully slow. It took over 30 minutes to upload 4 photos.
Wonderful capture of this flock of lovely birds.

@jyokota I've never seen so many at one time. They are about 25cm in length, but that includes the long tail feathers.

@merrelyn I looked back over my photos of my trip to Kakadu, and found that I had photographed -- only one -- but at least I was able to find one!
