The forecast storm hit in the early hours of this morning but the worst of it was over by daybreak. We spent a pleasant hour wandering around Point Peron, enjoying the wind and waves.
this reminds me of a place back in the old country where we used to go a long long time ago. it was an undeveloped stretched of beaches in the north and it was fun to go there for the raw things one would find. i understand that now it's been spoiled by tourists.
i like how you shot this, the composition is bang on and i love the play of sky and clouds. however, it's mostly the action of the waves washing up shore that triggered memories for me. i might be writing with this in mind later on. :-) aces, m. aces!
@summerfield Thanks Vikki, I love wandering along the paths and beaches around Point Peron and have done so since my early childhood. It’s only a few kilometres from where we live so I’m often out here. There were plans to build a hotel and marina close by but luckily they were not passed by the council. The area has been gazetted as public open space and I hope that it stays that way.
